Honouring outstanding contributions to emergency medical services at tonight's EMS Awards and Graduation Ceremonies
  
Toronto Emergency Medical Services honours outstanding contributors tonight at
the Awards Ceremony. The 2003 EMS Awards will honour 29 EMS staff and three
citizens who will be recognized for their valour, accomplishments and community
service.

Also being celebrated this evening is the Graduation Ceremony for recent
graduates of Level 2 and Level 3 Paramedic certification programs and Emergency
Medical Dispatcher training.

Date: Wednesday, November 24
Time: 7 p.m.
Place: Denison Armouries
1 Yukon Lane (south off Sheppard Ave., west of Allen Rd.)

Among the awards to be presented are Paramedic of the Year, Employee of the
Year, Valour Awards for acts of bravery, Merit Awards for outstanding
initiative, the William J. Allen Award for community service, the Chief's Award
and Citizen's Awards to three residents who rendered outstanding assistance to
Toronto EMS.

Award recipients and graduates will be available for media interviews.
