Summerlicious: The perfect reason to taste the town

Toronto Special Events - The Celebrate Toronto Street Festival marks the return

Toronto Street Festival. Scheduled for July 9 - 11, 2004, the Celebrate Toronto
Street Festival transforms five intersections along the world's longest street,
giving right of way to a curb to curb celebration of tastes, talent and all
that is Toronto! Yonge Street, where it intersects with Dundas St., Bloor St.,
St. Clair Ave., Eglinton Ave. and Lawrence Ave., is converted into a stage for
free entertainment that covers the artistic spectrum. Named the "Best Festival"
at the 2004 Canadian Event Industry Association's Star Awards, this sizzling
summer festival stimulates audiences' senses with hot entertainment to see,
cool music to hear and delicious food to savour. Summerlicious, Toronto's
second annual summer restaurant program, offers special three-course prix fixe
menus at 100 participating restaurants. The Celebrate Toronto Passport offers
discounts at 20 of Toronto's thrilling destinations.

The Celebrate Toronto Street Festival takes place on July 9 (Yonge and Dundas
site only for Opening Ceremonies) from 8 to 10 p.m. The festival continues
throughout the weekend at all five festival sites, open 12 to 11 p.m. on
Saturday, July 10 and 12 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 11. Summerlicious and the
Celebrate Toronto Passport offers are valid from July 2 to 15.

couldn't be easier. All five festival sites are accessible via the Toronto
Transit Commission (TTC). Festival subway stops on the Yonge line are Dundas,
