It's time to wade into summer
  
Toronto Parks and Recreation wading pools and splash pads are opening for the
season according to the following schedule:

North District
Splash Pad Opening Date June 25
Wading Pool Opening Date July 1

South District
Splash Pad Opening Date June 25
Wading Pool Opening Date July 1

East District
Splash Pad Opening Date June 25
Wading Pool Opening Date June 26

West District
Splash Pad Opening Date June 25*
Wading Pool Opening Date June 25 **

* (With the exception of Chalkfarm and Gracedale that are opening June 28.)
**(With the exception of Lithuania that will re-open following completion of
repairs, and R.W. Scott which will not open this season due to construction at
the school.)

operation is located in the Toronto FUN Guide that can be picked up at Toronto
community centres. Information about wading pools, splash pads and extended
operating hours for aquatic facilities on exceptionally hot days, is also
available on the Aquatic Info Line, 416-338-POOL (7665) or on the Web at
http://www.toronto.ca/parks.

Toronto Parks and Recreation operates 168 wading pools and splash pads across
the city. Splash pads are unsupervised play areas and wading pools are
supervised areas. Toronto Parks and Recreation reminds all parents and
caregivers that children should be supervised at all times in both splash pads
and wading pools.
