The Magic of Light show returns to Nathan Phillips Square
  
What: The magic of Cavalcade of Lights presented by Scotiabank on December 4 at
Nathan Phillips Square from 6 to 10 p.m., with the explosive pyrotechnic and
spectacular performance of the Magic of Light show.

Audiences can experience the magic of this specially commissioned show from
Hangtime Circus which includes performances by 30 local performers including
Canadian Idol's Toya Alexis, the martial arts flavour of Team Ryouko,
ballerinas from Hit & Run, intricate rhythms of the Kiyoshi Nagata Ensemble and
electric violinist Dr. Draw. The 30-minute performance incorporates pyrotechnic
effects by Circus Orange with astonishing aerial acrobatic acts and daredevil
circus artistry.

The landmark rink will ignite with FLOW 93.5's weekday mixer DJ Starting from
Scratch providing the evening with its very own festive soundtrack.

Why: A tradition spanning close to four decades, the Cavalcade of Lights
festival expands citywide in 2004 to set Toronto aglow for the season with
sparkling lighting displays, brilliant fireworks, a calendar of festive events
and a one-of-a-kind tour of Toronto's picturesque neighbourhoods. The winner of
two 2003 International Special Events Society Esprit Awards and two
International Festivals and Events Association Pinnacle Awards, Cavalcade of
Lights is one of the nation's foremost festivals of light. Running from
November 27 to December 31, 2004, Cavalcade of Lights captures the magic of
Toronto's holiday season.
