Mayor David Miller to participate in National Forum on Economic Growth in Montreal

Mayor David Miller will travel to Montreal this week to participate in the
first National Forum on Economic Growth, to be hosted by Montreal Mayor Gerald
Tremblay. The forum will provide an opportunity for Canada's big city mayors to
meet with each other, and with business and community leaders, to form a
development strategy for Canada's large urban areas.

Who: Toronto Mayor David Miller, and mayors from Canada's largest
urban centres
What: National Forum on Economic Growth of the Big Cities in Canada
When: June 9 - 11
Where: Hyatt Regency Montreal, 1255 Jeanne Mance

On June 10, at 2:30 p.m., Mayor Miller will lead a discussion among the mayors
on "Sharing the Revenues of New Growth." Mayor Miller will also participate in
other sessions at the forum, which include discussions of growth objectives for
cities, and means by which all three orders of government can invest in cities.

The mayors are expected to meet with Prime Minister Paul Martin during the
forum.

A press conference will be held on June 11, at 11:30 a.m. in Grand Salon C at
the Hyatt Regency.
