Media Advisory: Sunday Serenades continue through August at Mel Lastman Square
What: Sunday Serenades, a weekly concert series at Mel Lastman Square, brings
the smooth sounds of the city's best swing, big band and jazz acts to Toronto's
warm summer evenings. Swing dance enthusiasts will have a chance to show off
their moves under the stars at these free concerts.

When: Sundays, through August 29

Where: Mel Lastman Square, 5100 Yonge St.

Time: 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Here's what you can see:

- Sunday, August 8: Skylark is famous for their sparkling harmonies, fabulous
songs and unique rich music.

- Sunday, August 15: Audiences can experience the upbeat classics with modern
swing arrangements by the George Lake Big Band.

- Sunday, August 22: The Toronto Megacity Swing Band features the most
extensive repertoire of classics from the swing era.

- Sunday, August 29: Closing out the Sunday Serenades season is Sonata Sings
Sinatra, a World Tribute Artist Champion, with his fabulous stage show
celebrating the romantic singing style of the indisputable king of croon, Frank

Admission to the Sunday Serenades is free and getting there couldn't be easier.
Mel Lastman Square is located at 5100 Yonge St. Take the TTC Yonge line subway
(exit North York Centre station).
