Media advisory: Toronto takes a walk in High Park
  
Mayor David Miller will make the opening remarks at the official kick-off for
the Toronto Trails Festival that will take place in High Park on Sunday,
October 3, 2004. Walk check -in begins at 1:00 p.m. and the walks begin at 1:30
p.m. There will be two different walks offered every 15 minutes from 1:30 to
3:00. One of the walks will be a half-hour route and the other will be a 1-hour
route. Both walks will begin and end in Picnic Area 22 and 23.

All walkers will be eligible to win prizes and will receive a Toronto parks and
trails map.

The Toronto Trails Festival is organized by the Platform Group in conjunction
with Parks and Recreation and supports the objectives of Our Common Grounds,
the Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan 2004.
