Media Advisory: Fifth Annual Doggie Day Afternoon Festival
  
Hundreds of people and their dogs are expected at Jimmie Simpson Park tomorrow
for an event that celebrates canine friends and family - the Fifth Annual
Doggie Day Afternoon Festival.

Date: Saturday, September 18

Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Place: Jimmie Simpson Community Centre
870 Queen St. E. (just east of Broadview Avenue)

TD Canada Trust has sponsored this one-of-a-kind event to assist Jimmie Simpson
Recreation Center with providing children and youth programming aimed at
educating and training our canine friends. TD Canada Trust will have face
painting for children, the ever-popular, TD Canada Trust Doggie Olympics and
there will be many other activities for people and dogs.

All dogs must wear a leash.

Jimmie Simpson is one of more than 140 community centres operated by Toronto
Parks and Recreation that offers quality programming to people of all ages.
