Media Advisory: Toronto Parks and Recreation and Tree Canada host planting event
  
Tree Canada and Toronto Parks and Recreation's Natural Environment and
Horticulture Section are hosting a planting event with students from Fairbank
Middle School on Tuesday, November 2 at Eglinton Flats Park. Councillor Frances
Nunziata (Ward 11 York South-Weston), Ed Borczon, Tree Canada, representatives
from the office of Alan Tonks, Member of Parliament (York South-Weston) and
Toronto Parks and Recreation staff will join the students and their teachers.

Date: Tuesday, November 2
Time: 10 to 11:30 a.m. (brief remarks at 10 a.m.)
Place: Eglinton Flats Park, Eglinton Avenue West at Jane Street

Tree Canada's Green Streets Program has sponsored a number of ecological
restoration initiatives at a variety of locations in Toronto, including:

· Eglinton Flats
· Lower Don River Valley
· Toronto Island Park
· Cedarvale Park
· Glendon Forest and
· Humber Bay Butterfly Habitat.
