Media Advisory: Mayor David Miller to host Botswana delegation and book launch
  
Mayor David Miller will host a reception for visiting dignitaries from
Botswana's South East District Municipality this Wednesday at City Hall. The
reception will also launch Chandra's Secrets, a novel by Toronto author Allan
Stratton, set amid the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa.

The delegation is in Toronto as part of an HIV/AIDS partnership sponsored by
the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Botswana has the highest prevalence
of HIV/AIDS in the world.

Brock Carlton, Director of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities'
International Centre for Municipal Development, and journalist Michele
Landsberg will join the Mayor and the author at the reception. The reception is
open to the public.

Time: 4:30 p.m.
Location: Rotunda, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

The Botswana delegation is attending meetings with HIV/AIDS agencies and other
organizations in Toronto until April 1 and members are available for media
interviews about the crisis in Africa.
