The Adelaide Women's Art Studio offers a diverse group of women the opportunity
to experience a wide range of challenging and inspiring art media in a
supportive environment. The studio is operated jointly by the Adelaide Resource
Centre for Women (a program of Toronto Shelter, Housing and Support) and the
Regent Park Community Health Centre.
As the art exhibition has evolved over the past six years, many previously
unknown artists have had a rare opportunity to showcase their impressive
talents. By moving the exhibition to the artistic enclave within the Distillery
District, the studio's artists are moving one step closer to assuming a
prominent position on Toronto's cultural stage.
