A Canada Day gift from URINETOWN

The Canadian Stage Company (CanStage) brings their musical talent to Canada Day
at Mel Lastman Square on Thursday, July 1. Cast members from the CanStage
production of URINETOWN sings O Canada followed by a scene from their musical
comedy. Members of the musical are taking a patriotic break from their busy
schedule to bring their gift of satire and humour to the birthday party.

Lighthouse, Canada's award-winning rock orchestra, will heat up the Canada Day
celebrations at Mel Lastman Square running from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with their
innovative blend of rock and jazz. The evening kicks-off with Bradley and The
Bouncers and their high energy blues music. The evening ends in grand,
musically choreographed fireworks.

URINETOWN, the Canadian premiere of the Broadway blockbuster, is a Tony-award
winning phenomenon currently running until July 11 at the Bluma Appel Theatre.
"It is so refreshing to be entertained with wit and humour without any vulgar
language along with refreshing tunes and crisp lyrics," said Micheal Englebert,
AM 740.

Admission to Canada Day is free and getting there couldn't be easier. Mel
Lastman Square is located at 5100 Yonge St. W. Take the TTC Yonge Line subway
(exit North York Centre station).
