Media Advisory: Toronto Fire pitches in to help Sick Kids

Toronto Fire Services Chief Bill Stewart, other senior Fire Services staff,
along with a number of fire fighters will be on hand at the Hospital for Sick
Children (Sick Kids) on Thursday to help with a fundraising initiative.

They will serve a pizza lunch to the patients, parents and staff as part of a
joint fund-raiser for the hospital and their United Way campaign.

Date: Thursday, October 28

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (interview and photo opportunities available)

Location: The Hospital for Sick Children - Atrium
170 Elizabeth St.

As well, there will be Toronto Fire Services public education displays, fire
trucks and more than 30 staff on hand to help entertain the patients at the
hospital.

"It is an honour to work with the staff of our world-renowned Hospital for Sick
Children" says Chief Stewart "and so very rewarding to share the time with the
young patients and their families. It is wonderful to see the smile our simple
participation brings to their faces."
