Call for Volunteer Award nominations set for May 6
  
As part of Volunteer Week in Toronto (April 18-24), Commissioner Eric Gam,
Community and Neighbourhood Services (CNS), announced that brochures and
nomination forms for the City of Toronto's Community Service Volunteer Awards
will be available in civic and community/recreation centres and libraries
throughout the city on May 6.

The Community Service Volunteer Awards is a recognition program administered by
Community and Neighbourhood Services to honour the outstanding volunteers who
contribute their time, energy and skills to various agencies, organizations,
institutions and communities in Toronto.

Eligible award categories include
- children and youth services
- community and public health services
- community development/community centres
- housing and homelessness support services
- immigrant and newcomer services, and
- seniors services.

The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, June 30, 2004.
