Official opening of community garden in Scarborough
Join Councillor Adrian Heaps (Ward 35 Scarborough Southwest), community partners involved in neighborhood action in the area and local residents as they officially launch a new community garden project in Prairie Drive Park.

The Prairie Drive Park Community Garden is a community-based initiative to promote social inclusion through locally grown, affordable food.

Date: Saturday, October 24
Time: 1 to 3 p.m.
Place: 111 Pharmacy Ave. (northwest corner of the park that is located north of Danforth Avenue, south of Teesdale Place)

After the official ceremony, there will be children’s performances, light refreshments and bulb planting for next spring. Information and advice about community gardening will be available.
