Mayor David Miller to address students at EcoCAR Challenge
  
Mayor David Miller will speak to students from 17 Canadian and American universities as part of the week-long EcoCAR Challenge on the importance of green fleet technology.

Time: 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.
Location: Sheraton Centre Toronto, 123 Queen St. W. (Lower concourse, Sheraton Hall)

The EcoCAR Challenge is a three-year competition that challenges teams across North America to reduce the environmental impact of vehicles by designing and integrating leading-edge technology into a 2009 Saturn Vue. Toronto is the host city for the first year of the EcoCAR Challenge, with the winner for best-designed vehicle to be announced on June 12.

Toronto is Canada's largest city and sixth largest government, and home to a diverse population of about 2.6 million people. It is the economic engine of Canada and one of the greenest and most creative cities in North America. Toronto has won numerous awards for quality, innovation and efficiency in delivering public services. 2009 marks the 175th anniversary of Toronto's incorporation as a city. Toronto's government is dedicated to prosperity, opportunity and liveability for all its residents.
