City renames park in honour of Dennis Flynn
  
Councillor Doug Holyday (Ward 3 Etobicoke Centre) and City of Toronto representatives will honour the many contributions of the late Dennis Flynn to the residents of the former Borough of Etobicoke, with a new playground installation, a sign unveiling ceremony and a community barbecue.

Special guest speaker: Mary Flynn-Guglietti, daughter of Dennis Flynn

Date: Saturday, October 3
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Ceremony: noon
Location: Former West Mall Park, 360 The West Mall

Dennis Flynn served both as mayor and councillor for Etobicoke, and was a member of the Toronto Police Services Board. Flynn received the Order of Ontario in 2001 for his years of dedicated service. Flynn was a decorated Second World War veteran and was made an Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the Toronto Scottish Regiment.
