Mayor David Miller launches spring clean-up events

Mayor David Miller kicks off this year’s spring clean-up efforts. First up is the City’s own operations-led three-week clean-up program, which officially begins April 6. It leads into the 20-Minute Makeover at 2 p.m. on April 24 and Mayor David Miller’s Community Clean-up Day on Saturday, April 25.

The sixth annual GTA-wide 20-Minute Makeover on Friday, April 24 at 2 p.m. encourages businesses and residents to participate and reduce litter in our communities.

On Tuesday, April 7, Mayor David Miller, joined by the official 20-Minute Makeover sponsors - TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, The Home Depot, Toronto Star, Pizza Pizza, the Toronto Sun, Tim Hortons and McDonald’s -- will encourage residents and businesses to demonstrate their pride in Toronto by volunteering to pick up litter at either event.

Date: Tuesday, April 7
Time: 1 to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Weather permitting: Nathan Phillips Square (by the 175 Year Anniversary flags)
In case of rain: Council Members Lounge (3rd floor, behind Council Chamber, City Hall)
