Power Outage - City of Toronto responding

The City of Toronto is responding to a power outage in the Bloor and Dufferin area.

Approximate boundaries of the outage are St. Clair to Queen Street, Jane Street to Spadina Avenue.

The outage affects approximately 22,000 hyrdro customers.

The power outage was caused by water main break and Toronto Hydro is working on restoring power.

A news release will be issued to confirm when power will be restored.

TTC confirms that the Bloor Danforth line between St. George and Islington stations is closed as a result of the outage and shuttle buses are in place until approximately 1:30 a.m. when the blue night all-night buses will begin service. Further information from TTC will follow early in the morning as to whether or not subway service will resume in the morning on that stretch of subway.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
