Media Advisory: City crews continue work to repair sinkhole on Finch Avenue West

City of Toronto crews continue to conduct repairs to the sinkhole on Finch Avenue West, between Dufferin and Wilmington Drive(east of Dufferin Street).

Work to assess and repair the sinkhole began last night and crews have been on scene throughout the day today.

The sinkhole is approximately 5 meters in circumference and 2 meters deep.

The following traffic management actions have been taken:

- Westbound Finch will close at Bathurst to all but local traffic.
- Eastbound Finch remains closed at Dufferin
- Traffic signal timing has been adjusted in the surrounding area to permit the best possible flow of traffic
- Advisory Signs for motorists are being installed
- All emergency services are aware of the repairs and road closures and are making appropriate adjustments to their routings
- TTC has adjusted their routing.
