City of Toronto to officially open 311 Contact Centre
  
Mayor David Miller and City Manager Joe Pennachetti will officially open the 311 Contact Centre this Thursday, September 24.

Date: Thursday, September 24
Time: 12:30 p.m. - official opening
Location: 311 Contact Centre, Metro Hall, 55 John St.
(At the ceremonial staircase facing the square)

Following the ribbon cutting, the media will be escorted to the second floor viewing gallery inside the 311 Contact Centre for a brief photo opportunity of the Mayor touring the facility.

Toronto is Canada's largest city and sixth largest government, and home to a diverse population of about 2.6 million people. It is the economic engine of Canada and one of the greenest and most creative cities in North America. Toronto has won numerous awards for quality, innovation and efficiency in delivering public services. 2009 marks the 175th anniversary of Toronto's incorporation as a city.
