Media Advisory - City to open health club at Joseph J. Piccininni Community Recreation Centre
  
Councillor Cesar Palacio (Ward 17 Davenport) and representatives of the City of Toronto will join members of the public to officially open the new health club at the Joseph J. Piccininni Community Recreation Centre with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Date: Sunday, October 5
Time: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. (official remarks at 3:30 p.m.)
Location: Joseph J. Piccininni Community Recreation Centre, 1369 St. Clair Ave. W.

The health club features treadmills, ellipticals, steppers and stationary bicycles for cardiovascular exercising. There are free weights and muscular strengthening equipment, including: bench press, leg press, Smith machine, and dual adjustable pulley. The club has change facilities and day lockers. The fitness centre is open Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
