Media Advisory - City of Toronto to launch BizPaL: the online service to help grow business

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, Colin Carrie, Minister of Government and Consumer Services, Ted McMeekin, and Mayor David Miller, will officially launch BizPaL, a new, one stop, web-based service to help start and grow businesses. BizPaL provides access to information about business permit and licence requirements from all orders of government in Canada.

The service is expected to become the primary provider of permit and licensing information to businesses in Toronto. BizPaL refers entrepreneurs to the appropriate program delivery agents and provides links to relevant information across programs and jurisdictions. It also links to related forms and on-line applications. BizPaL can be viewed at www.toronto.ca/bizpal.

Date: Friday, February 29
Time: 9 a.m.
Location: City Hall, 100 Queen St. W., 2nd Floor, Committee Room 2
