Media Advisory: East Don Parkland sign dedication and wildflower planting

The City of Toronto in partnership with the East Don Parkland Partners will dedicate an interpretive sign commemorating the historical significance of the East Don Parkland area, in conjunction with a wildflower planting event. The sign highlights the Richardson farm and homestead which had a large mixed orchard of apple, cherry and pear trees. The sign will be placed near the original entrance to the farmstead, which was in operation until 1958. Bob Richardson, a representative of the Richardson family who once lived on the farm, will be honoured with the sign.

Date: Saturday, June 14
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: East Don Parkland, Finch Ave. and Pineway Blvd.
