Media Advisory - City to announce plans to build a new green facility in High Park
The City of Toronto will announce plans to build an environmentally sustainable facility at the High Park Children’s Garden. City staff will make the announcement at the Insect Extravaganza Community Festival.

Date: Sunday, July 13
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: High Park Children’s Garden
(Thirty minute walk from High Park subway station, 25 minute walk from the College St. TTC stop on Parkside Dr., five minute walk from TTC stop on The Queensway)

The Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation will also launch the Adopt-a-Bale program to help raise money to build the environmentally sustainable complex. The facility will enhance the principles of the Children’s Garden and Exploring Toronto Programs, and serve as a demonstration site for sustainable building practices.
