City recognizes the contributions of community recreation volunteers in the Etobicoke York District
Councillor Frances Nunziata (Ward 11 York South-Weston), Chair of the Etobicoke York Community Council will join City of Toronto staff at a reception to recognize the dedication and valuable contributions of parks, forestry and recreation volunteers in the Etobicoke York District.

Date: TODAY - Thursday, October 23
Time: 6:45 p.m.
Location: Humberwood Community Centre, 850 Humberwood Blvd.

From participating on advisory councils and reference groups to assisting staff with the delivery of special events and sports and leisure clubs, volunteers play a vital role in supporting the delivery of community recreation services, which provide increased opportunities for residents to get involved in their community. At the reception, awards will be announced for Youth of the Year, Group of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.
