Media Advisory - City joins forces with business sector to help youth find jobs
Mayor David Miller, the Honourable Roy McMurtry, Chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Panel on Making a Safe City Safer, and members of the business community will officially launch the Partnership to Advance Youth Employment (PAYE) on February 15.

PAYE is an employer-led initiative, built on a strong partnership between the City, employers and the community. The goal of PAYE is to help level the playing field for youth in Toronto’s priority areas by providing them with opportunities for employment. Youth are offered individualized support and guidance and guaranteed interviews with leading employers.

Highlights from the pilot recruitment initiative in Lawrence Heights, conducted from February to June 2007, and future plans for the program will be announced.
