Media Advisory - City announces new website for finding quality child care

Councillor Joe Mihevc (Ward 21 St. Paul’s), Chair of the Community Development and Recreation Committee, and Brenda Patterson, General Manager of Toronto Children’s Services, will officially launch a new website designed to help parents choose the best child care for their children.

Developed by the City of Toronto’s Children's Services Division, the new website will show quality ratings of child care programs in Toronto. The ratings will cover important areas of quality, including programming, activities, health, safety, interactions and nutrition. Scores are reached by evaluating child care centres against standards laid out in the Toronto Operating Criteria.

Date: Tuesday, January 22
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: City Kids Child Care Centre, 34 Bathurst St. (at Front St. W.)
