Media Advisory - Ninety-day adoption campaign helps find ‘purrrfect’ matches
The City of Toronto will launch a special campaign to encourage the public to consider adopting a shelter cat in desperate need of a home. The 90-day campaign hopes to place between 700 and 800 loveable cats from four Toronto Animal Services’ shelter locations. The fully-equipped adult cats are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, temporarily pet care insured, and are already licenced and microchiped. The adoption also includes a goodie bag of cat loot for the bargain price of $90.

At the launch, media will be given a tour of the shelter, including a play area with a sample of the adult cats available for adoption. Media will also have access to a computer to view more cats online through a website that provides easy access for the public to find their purrrfect match.

Date: Friday, July 18
Time: 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Location: Toronto Animal Services, South Region Shelter, 140 Princes’ Blvd. (beside Ricoh Coliseum, Exhibition Place)
