Weekend events and road closures in Toronto
  
There are two special events this weekend in Toronto that all residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy. Businesses in the affected areas are open to pedestrian traffic, but some roads will be closed to motorists.

The public is encouraged to take public transit as a greener, faster and more affordable means of getting to their destinations.

The Score Street Party

Saturday closure:
King St., from John St. to Spadina Ave. will be closed from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. to accommodate this event. Traffic will also be impacted on Blue Jays Way/Peter St. as a result of this event.

Variety Village Walkathon

Sunday closure:
The westbound lanes of Danforth Ave., from Kingston Rd. to Birchmount Rd., will be closed on Sunday, September 21 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
