Media Advisory - City of Toronto’s beaches to open for business
  
Members of the media are invited to join Councillor Sandra Bussin, Council Speaker, (Ward 32 Beaches-East York) and Environmental Defence at the official launch of the 2008 beach season. The City of Toronto’s Water’s Environmental Monitoring and Protection team will be taking water samples; programs from Parks, Forestry and Recreation will be highlighted, and Toronto Police Services, Marine Protection Unit lifeguards will be conducting drill demonstrations.

Date: Thursday June 5
Time: 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Location: Woodbine Beach, directly on the beach, behind the Donald D. Sommerville Public Swimming Pool. Rain or shine
