Usher in 2009 at a family New Year's Eve celebration in Scarborough
  
City of Toronto representatives and members of the public will welcome 2009 with a family New Year’s Eve celebration at Scarborough Civic Centre.

Date: Wednesday, December 31
Time: 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Location: Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Dr.

Celebrate with live music performed by Dan the Music Man, Two for the Show, Island Accents Pan Duo (steel band) and the Ink Spots (rhythm and blues). You can also enjoy the movies Horton Hears a Who and Kung Fu Panda in the civic centre’s council chamber.

Rounding out the festivities will be outdoor skating, clowns, face painting, arts and crafts, costumed cartoon characters, popcorn, hot chocolate, noise makers, party hats and balloons - all free.
