Media Advisory - Al Purdy memorial statue to be unveiled in Queen’s Park
Mayor David Miller and Pier Giorgio Di Cicco, Toronto’s Poet Laureate, will host the unveiling of the Al Purdy memorial statue to commemorate one of Canada’s most beloved poets. Al Purdy’s widow, Eurithe Purdy, will unveil the monument to her late husband.

Date: Tuesday, May 20
Time: 4:30 p.m. (reception); 5 p.m. (official ceremonies)
Location: Queen’s Park-North, Queen’s Park Cres. E.
