Weekend events and road closures in Toronto

There are two special events this weekend in Toronto that all residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy. Businesses in the affected areas are open to pedestrian traffic, but some roads will be closed to motorists.

The public is encouraged to take public transit as a more affordable and faster means of getting to their destinations.

Corso Italia Fiesta
St. Clair Ave. W., from Dufferin St. to Lansdowne Ave., will be closed from Saturday, July 5 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, July 6 at 11:59 p.m. Some streets in the area will be closed as a result of this event.

Taste of Lawrence
Lawrence Ave. E., from Crockford Blvd. to Warden Ave., will be closed on Friday, July 4 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, July 6 at 11:59 p.m.

For more information about other closures, check with Transportation Services’ Road Info line at 416-599-9090 or visit the City’s website at http://www.toronto.ca/transportation.
