Media Advisory: Technical briefing for media on Toronto’s new Lobbyist Registry

Marilyn (Lyn) Abraham, Toronto’s Lobbyist Registrar, will brief the media on the City’s new Lobbyist Registry, which takes effect Monday, February 11.

Date: Thursday, February 7
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: Office of the Lobbyist Registrar, 112 Elizabeth St., first floor boardroom
(access via separate entrance, just north of main doors)

Media are asked to notify Francine Antonio at 416-397-5318 or fantoni@toronto.ca if they wish to attend the briefing. Space is limited.

The purpose of the Lobbyist Registry is to enhance public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the City’s decision-making processes by making lobbying activities open and accessible to the public. The Lobbyist Registry will keep track of who talks to whom about what, and will make that information available to the public online.
