Media Advisory: Rotarians Contribute to Toronto's Urban Forest
  
Parks and Recreation Division --- Members of the media are invited to attend a
tree planting event, sponsored by the Rotary Club, District 7070, at Woodbine
Park (Queen Street East and Coxwell Avenue). The Rotary Club's District 7070,
which includes 54 Rotary Clubs across the GTA from Picton on the east to
Alliston on the north, has contributed $15,000 to the Woodbine Park project.
In addition, hundreds of Rotarians will plant more than 1500 trees and shrubs
on the berm at Woodbine Park, alongside local community volunteers.

Rotary Club representatives will host an official ceremony to unveil an
interpretive sign on the site to mark this special occasion.

Rotary International is one of the largest business service clubs in the world
with 1.2 million Rotarians in 29,000 clubs in 163 countries.
