Lesbian and Gay Pride Week in Toronto to be Marked by Raising of Rainbow Flag
  
The week of June 19th to 25th, 2000 we be proclaimed as Lesbian and Gay Pride
Week in Toronto at a flag-raising ceremony on the Podium Roof of City Hall, at
noon on Monday, June 19th. Councillor Kyle Rae will raise the Rainbow Flag on
behalf of City Council and the 2.4 million people of Toronto.

Now in its 20th year, Pride Week is the first of many celebratory events in
Toronto, and draws up to 750,000 tourists and residents. Highlights include
entertainment on June 24 and 25, and the huge Pride Day Parade on Sunday, June
25.
