Get Your Feet on the Street

TORONTO, ONTARIO - Toronto's largest street festival is back this summer and
it's bigger and better than ever!

On July 7, 8 and 9, Yonge Street comes alive again with the third annual
Celebrate Toronto Street Festival presented by Shoppers Drug Mart - an event
that brings residents and visitors to the street to enjoy the city's unique
culture, talent and diversity.

This year's event will be a celebration of the Olympic Spirit. Each of the
five festival sites will feature special Olympic-themed programming in
anticipation of the Summer Olympics in Sydney and as a community kick-off for
Toronto's 2008 bid.

It all starts on Friday, July 7 when the Celebrate Toronto Street Festival
kicks-off with the Official Opening Ceremonies. The entire intersection of
Yonge and Eglinton will be closed for a showcase concert featuring leading
Canadian artists and spectacular special effects.

The fun continues on Saturday and Sunday with four more intersections along
Yonge Street joining Eglinton as festival sites and closed to traffic:
Lawrence, St. Clair, Bloor and King. Each site will offer its own mix of
programming with music, thrill shows, circus arts, world dance, midway rides,
giant inflatables, colourful street performers, children's parades and much
more.

Admission to the Celebrate Toronto Street Festival is FREE!
