Media Advisory: City of Toronto Raises Awareness About Bike Theft
  
The City of Toronto's Road and Trail Safety Ambassadors are holding a
BikeTheft=Bad Karma event on August 10 to raise public awareness around bike
theft. An average of 7,000 bicycles is reported stolen every year in the
city.

Date: Thursday, August 10
Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen Street West

Information regarding bike theft and preventive measures will be demonstrated.
There will also be a sticker giveaway courtesy of Grassroots Environmental
Products and information displays. The event will feature live music performed
by the jazz band GUH.

The Road and Trail Safety Ambassadors provide safety information and raise
awareness for all road and trail users through campaigns and community
outreach.
