Victorian Christmas Flower Show at Allan Gardens
Get into the spirit of Christmas by attending the grand opening of the annual
Victorian Christmas Flower Show at Allan Gardens on Sunday, December 3, from 2
to 5:30 p.m.

Boughs of holly, evergreen wreaths, poinsettias and other seasonal plants will
adorn the conservatory. Colourful Victorian cones created with miniature plants
will be featured. From 4 to 5:30 p.m. each day, the conservatory will be aglow
with traditional candles.

Turn-of-the-century traditions, including Victorian carollers, a visit from
Father Christmas and horse and buggy rides in the park will be featured at the
opening celebration on December 3. There will be outdoor activities for
children and all visitors will be treated to free hot cider and cookies.

Allan Gardens is located on the south side of Carlton Street, between Jarvis
and Sherbourne Streets, and is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5:30
p.m. Admission is always free, and the Victorian Christmas Flower Show
continues until January 6, 2001.
