Open house to discuss construction work on Yonge Street

The City of Toronto's Transportation Services Division is hosting an open house
on Wednesday, October 11, 2000 to discuss upcoming construction work on Yonge
Street.

The open house will be held at Christ Church Deer Park, 1570 Yonge Street, from
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (The church is located at Heath Street West, just
north of the St. Clair subway station).

The meeting will allow City staff to outline plans for the resurfacing of Yonge
Street from St. Clair Avenue to Roxborough Street East and to discuss the
replacement of sidewalks, curbs and gutters at this location and from Eglinton
Avenue to Roehampton Avenue.

The sidewalk, curb and gutter work will begin in late October, 2000 and
continue until mid-December, 2000. The road resurfacing project will take
place from the end of April, 2001 until mid-May, 2001.
