Another Closure by Toronto Public Health
Toronto Public Health - Toronto Public Health closed a bakery today. The ABC
Breadco at 1265 Lawrence Avenue West was closed due to severe sanitation
violations. Upon inspection, walls, floors and ceilings were in disrepair, and
cats were found walking through food and on surfaces that come in contact with
food. This bakery will be monitored and will remain closed until all violations
are corrected. The bakery was inspected as a result of a complaint. The
premises does not have a sign identifying the business, and is not licensed.

Toronto Public Health today re-inspected Mr. Wong's Super Buffet at 1221
Markham Road and declared it fit to be re-opened. It was closed on February
24, 2000, due to heavy mouse and cockroach infestation and unsanitary
conditions. It was not previously publicized as a closure, because this
restaurant is outside of the blitz area of the former City of Toronto, and at
the time of the closure Toronto Public Health was only reporting on closures
within the former City of Toronto. Toronto Public Health's new policy is to
publicly report all closures throughout the city.
