City Installs New Bicycle Parking
  
The City of Toronto will unveil newly installed post and ring bicycle parking
on Yonge Street near the North York Civic Centre on May 27, as part of Bike
Week celebrations. This will be the first installation outside of the former
City of Toronto.

The City of Toronto will be installing 3,000 post and rings this year. Since
the program's introduction in 1985, more than 4,000 post and rings have been
installed through out the city.

Dan Egan, Manager of the City's Works and Emergency Services department's
Pedestrian and Cycling Infrastructure Unit will make a brief presentation on
bike lanes, bicycle parking and the Cycling Master Plan.

The Bicycle Parking event is being hosted by Toronto Cycling Committee, Toronto
Urban Development Services, Toronto Works and Emergency Services, and North
York Cycling and Pedestrian Committee. For more information on Bike Week
