Official groundbreaking ceremony marks start of construction at Main Square Community Centre
  
Parks and Recreation Division - Members of the media are invited to
attend the official groundbreaking ceremony at Main Square Community Centre.
The ceremony will be presided over by local Councillors Sandra Bussin and Tom
Jakobek, federal M P Maria Minna, and representatives from Toronto Parks and
Recreation.

The project, a joint venture between the City of Toronto and the Canada
Mortgage and Housing Corporation, will provide residents of the Main and
Danforth community with a three-story facility that will house general
recreation programming, cardio and fitness space, as well as a 25 metre indoor
swimming pool. Construction is expected to last approximately 13 months.
