City of Toronto Renames Community Centre to Domenico Diluca
Members of the media are invited to attend the Official Renaming Ceremony of
the Stanley Community Centre to the Domenico DiLuca Community Centre.

DATE: Sunday, June 4, 2000

TIME: Official Ceremony: 1:30 p.m.
Refreshments & BBQ: 2:00 ? 3:00 p.m.

LOCATION: 25 Stanley Road

Councillors George Mammoliti and Paul Valenti, and representatives from Toronto
Parks and Recreation Division, will bring greetings on behalf of the City. Mrs.
Julia DiLuca will be present to unveil new signage and recognize the completed
Centre expansion in Domenico's honour.

Domenico DiLuca was a member of the Stanley Senior's Club (Centro Ricreativi
Anzaini Italiani) for eight years. In 1994 he was elected President of the
seniors club. Domenico is well known for his work with seniors, and encouraging
residents to enjoy many social events and trips the club had to offer. Domenico
was a strong advocate for the community, and was instrumental in the expansion
of program space completed in February, 2000.
