Media Advisory -- Photo Op -- Moss Park Harvest Festival

Members of the media are invited to attend the 1st annual Moss Park Harvest
Festival.

Date: Sunday, October 15

Time: 1 to 4 p.m.

Location: Moss Park soccer field, north of Queen Street East (west of
Sherbourne Street)

Catch neighbourhood children as they decorate the many brilliant orange
pumpkins, while stone soup bubbles over an outdoor fire. Watch children create
crafts from natural objects, while participants of all ages enjoy a blues
performance by "Sons of Beaches", or swing their partners in an old-time square
dance.

The Moss Park Community Gardens are ready for harvest, and community residents
will continue the planting in the River of Tallgrasses.

The event is organized by Toronto Parks & Recreation with assistance from The
Composting Council of Canada, Evergreen, Ontario 2000, the Starbucks Coffee
Company, and the Taddle Creek Watershed Initiative.
