Santa Visits Riverdale Farm

Parks and Recreation - Riverdale Farm is having a Holiday Season
Celebration on December 2 at the Meeting House. There will be crafts, wagon
rides, animal tours, a pottery exhibit and Santa himself will stop by for a
visit with the Young Farmers Club and other children.

One of the other highlights of the celebration is that children's author Ruth
Miller will read her new book, I Went to the Farm, which was inspired by her
visits to Riverdale Farm with her grandchildren. Her first book, I Went to the
Bay, was inspired by memories of her sons exploring the bay near the family
cottage. I Went to the Farm is illustrated by Per-Henrik Gurth, who has
illustrated more than a dozen books in his native Germany, and is published by
Kids Can Press.

Hot apple cider and hot chocolate will be served.
