Media Advisory -- City of Toronto to Raise Children's Flag

Toronto City Councillors Chris Korwin-Kuczynski, Sherene Shaw and Olivia Chow,
the Children and Youth Advocate, will jointly raise the winning design of this
past summer's Children's Design-a-Flag contest at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 2
at Toronto City Hall.

The flag's designer Nathaniel Roda, age 5, will participate in the ceremony.
Nathaniel will receive a copy of his flag, a T-shirt, commemorative plaque and
a package of 20 cards printed with his design. The winning design was chosen
from over 2,000 entrants in the Children's Design-a-Flag sponsored by the
Children and Youth Action Committee at locations across the city over the
summer.

The CYAC is a partnership of city councillors and representatives of community
