City of Toronto Mourns the Death of Former Scarborough Mayor Gus Harris
  
Mayor Mel Lastman and Toronto City Council have expressed their deepest
condolences to the family of Gus Harris, former Scarborough Mayor from 1978 -
1988, who passed away Sunday, February 20, 2000.

Flags are at half mast at the Scarborough Civic Centre until Friday, February
25th. A condolence book has been set up in the Scarborough Civic Centre rotunda
for the public and City staff to sign.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25th at 11 a.m. at the
Kingston Road United Church, 975 Kingston Road. Visitation will take place
today, February 24th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Sherrin
Funeral Home, 873 Kingston Road.
