Yo-Yo Ma launches Toronto Music Garden's summer 2000 program
  
Parks & Recreation Division - World-acclaimed cellist Yo-Yo Ma will join
Councillor Brian Ashton (Scarborough Bluffs), Chair of the Economic Development
and Parks Committee, in launching the Toronto Music Garden's summer 2000
program. The Garden's chief fund-raiser James Fleck, President of the Art
Gallery of Ontario, Julie Moir Messervy, the designer of the Music Garden, and
officials from the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship, Culture and Recreation,
funder of the summer program, will also be present.

The event will feature a preview of the Garden's new audio guide and a
performance by students from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

DATE: Thursday, May 25
TIME: 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
PLACE: Toronto Music Garden, 475 Queen's Quay West (between Spadina
and Portland)
